SARAO provides expert engineering services, generating revenue through key projects. For example, the INAF project, where we build digitizers for Italy, showcases how SARAO leverages its technical expertise to offer high-value services. Similarly, SARAO’s contributions to SKA MID demonstrate our role as a specialized engineering service provider.

What we do

  • Familiarize and conscientise staff about the management of IP considering the institutional policies, including compliance with the IPR Act

  • Support staff in identifying projects that have commercial and impact potential

  • Facilitate the protection of IP that is generated by the organization

  • Deliver programs that promote a culture of innovation

  • Support staff to source resources, including funding, to support projects development to commercial success

  • Manage the commercialisation agreements, including licensing and spin-outs, with third parties

  • Partner with other similar structures to strengthen the technology innovation system
