About the Position

SARAO has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Administrator to join our Cape Town based team on a five (5) year contract. The HR Administrator will provide HR compliance and administrative support to day-to-day HR operations, ensuring the efficient delivery of HR services.

Minimum education required:

  • National Diploma in Human Resources Management

Minimum work experience required:

  • 2 years’ experience working in a similar role
  • PC literacy and experience with MS Office applications
  • Knowledge of labour legislation (BCEA,EEA, SDA, COIDA,LRA)

Duties include (but not limited to):

  • Assisting in compiling HR reports as and when required
  • Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive data
  • Assist in payroll administration
  • Administering leave and compiling related reports
  • Assisting in staff intake and disengagement
  • Provide secretarial support and travel arrangements for SARAO HR department
  • Maintaining staff files and overall HR filing
  • Assisting with Recruitment and Selection administration
  • Submitting invoices to the finance department and collation of all required paperwork for HR purchases.
  • Assisting the HR team with projects as and when required
  • Administration of training and development

  • Perform administrative duties thoroughly


  • Performing all round HR related administrative tasks
  • Background in working with HR procedures and policies


  • Must have a basic understanding of HR Legislation
