The South African Radio Astronomy Observatory (‘SARAO’) hereby invites submissions for the following tender -

Bid Description: PROVISION OF SECURITY SERVICES AT THE NATIONAL RESEARCH FOUNDATION (NRF) BUILDING IN JOHANNESBURG FOR A PERIOD OF 36 MONTHS (RE-ADVERTISEMENT)
Bid Closing Date and Time: Thursday, 28 August 2025 at 11:00AM

COMPULSORY TENDER CLARIFICATION MEETING:
A compulsory tender clarification meeting will take place as follows –
Date – Monday, 18 August 2025
Time – 10:00 – 11:00AM
Venue - 18A Gill Street, Observatory, Johannesburg, GPS Coordinates: 33° 56’21,933”S & 18° 28’53,5326”E

Persons attending the clarification meeting must be duly authorised to represent the bidder. Any bid submitted by a bidder not represented at the clarification meeting will be rejected.

PREFERENTIAL PROCUREMENT SYSTEM:
The 80/20 price and preference points system, as prescribed by Section 4 of the Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2022 issued under the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, (Act No 5 of 2000) (PPPFA) will be applied to evaluate this bid.

EVALUATION CRITERIA:
Bidders must satisfy the evaluation criteria in Stages 1 and 2 of the bid selection process in order to be evaluated further on site inspection evaluation criteria (Stage 3) and price and specific goals (Stage 4). Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

BID SUBMISSION:
Bid proposals submission must be sent via the National Treasury e-submission. Below is link and instructions for the application process: https://admin.etenders.gov.za//Identity/Account/Login?ReturnUrl=%2F/ on or before the closing date, Thursday, 28 August 2025 at 11:00AM.
Bids received after the closing date and/or time will be disqualified.

BID SUBMISSION STEPS TO FOLLOW WHEN SUBMITTING THE TENDER:

Select tender number in search by, Enter the tender number, the tender will appear and click on it, you look for tender with the Tick sign ✔ for e-submissions, you click the plus + sign to expand, you scroll down and click start e- submission. Log in with your CSD log in details, you can then proceed from there.
