Cash Register

The image shows a vintage mechanical cash register, likely from the early–mid 1900s, displayed in a museum setting. The machine is made of wood and metal, with rows of coloured keys, a crank handle, and a display window showing “520.” Cashiers would press keys and pull the crank to record a sale, ring a bell, update the total, and open the drawer. The museum surroundings suggest it’s part of a historical exhibit highlighting early business technology and the craftsmanship of early transaction machines.
