WATCH: Congratulations to the six ‘Astro-Guides’ who officially graduated from their training and are now fully-fledged guides who offer astronomy tourism in the province.
Dr Anton Binneman (NRF-SARAO) talked to SABC news about the programme and what it means to be an ‘Astro-Guide’.
The Carnarvon Astro Tourism guide training, or Astro-Guides training, was first conceptualised in 2018 as a potential socio-economic development project as part of NRF-SARAO’s Stakeholder Engagement offering.
