Dr. Munkombwe Muchindu is a Senior Commercialisation Specialist with expertise in intellectual property management, technology transfer, and venture creation. Her industrial acumen is anchored by a strong technical foundation, which includes a PhD in Chemistry from the University of the Western Cape, as well as an MSc and BSc from the University of Botswana.
Before joining SARAO in November 2025, she spent over 15 years working as a Commercialisation Officer and Scientist. This extensive background directly informs her ability to identify and scale high-value innovations, transitioning them from laboratory environments into practical societal and industrial solutions.
