Segopotso Moshapo is the South African “SKA Regional Centre (SRC) Lead” at the South African Radio Astronomy Observatory (SARAO). In this role, he oversees the establishment and operation of a cutting-edge computing and data storage facility designed to empower the national and international scientific community to fully harness the capabilities of the data-intensive Square Kilometre Array (SKA) telescope. With over 20 years of experience in the science, research, and innovation sectors, both nationally and internationally, Segopotso has focused extensively on information and communication technologies (ICT). He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Wits University, specializing in Software Engineering and Telecommunications.
