Interferometric calibration
In this lecture we look at expanding on the transfer (or ‘1GC’) calibration discussed previously. We model the various systematic problems which influence the propagation of the signal we are measuring with Jones calculus. I present a strategy to calibrate for these various effects by interpolating from calibrator sources (part one). In the second part we look at further calibrating the target field in-between calibrator observations using a process of modelling and self-calibration.
